Our first Low Cost Tattoo Removals treatment session was held 12 noon till 4:00 pm.

Dr. Steven Popkow - received Community Service Award - "Thanks for your Magnanimous & Dedicated work in the City  of Bakersfield.
Treatments were done on Dec. 14, 2002.  33 people were treated, some for the 3rd time.  These people tattoo were almost gone - well maybe just one more treatment for the last traces to vanish!!!

Pastor Ray Patrick was awarded with the Leadership Award from ABC Channel 23 Bakersfield in October, 2002 - Agape Light wishes to congratulate him on this achievement.

NBC Channel 17 aired 3 ten minute specials on 11^{th, 12th, 13th} of November regarding the causes of gang related tattooing and our efforts to help remedy the situation..

Agape Light wishes to Thank Station 6 of the Bakersfield Fire Dept for donating 2 boxes of gauze that will be used for the dressings after tattoo removal treatments. 

Agape Light, also wishes to Thank San Joaquin Adventist Hospital for donating tape, bandages and topical anesthetics for our upcoming treatments.

We also were blessed by the soulful singing of Gospel artist Regina Hunt .The following Saturday we were able to treat 30 members, some with very prominent facial tattoos.  We wish all those whom we have treated to continue their positive change.

With the growing number of at risk teens and youths in our community, the AGAPE LIGHT PROGRAM is needed to address the youth about the dangers of gang and hate related tattoos.  AGAPE LIGHT counsels those who wish to turn away from a life of hate, violence, crime, and drugs.  We do this by helping those who wish to change, pursue a new direction in life & in the greater community at large.  The need is there for the AGAPE LIGHT PROGRAM, a need to provide those who have lived in the shadow of gang isolation and want to come into the light - clean of their gang related tattoos.   This is a major benefit for the community.  We offer the chance to change their outlook and thus the future of their lives.  AGAPE LIGHT provides that service, a place to go, a guiding light of hope that will understand their particular tattoo removal needs
